Giving back to locations hosting our conference

Attending ICIS 2022 in Copenhagen?
Let’s continue the tradition of giving back to the locations hosing our conference.
This year, IS scholars CAN humanize refugee conditions in Denmark in two ways:

1. Contribute

Join IS Scholars in supporting The Weekend Trampoline House

The Weekend Trampoline House is a community center for refugees providing free Danish and English language classes, legal counseling, support for women and children, workshops and more. Morten Goll, with the Weekend Trampoline House, is helping us organize a GoFundMe drive.
Please support this worthy cause if you can.

Note:   €10≃75 Danish krone
$10≃70 Danish krone

GoFundMe subtracts a 0.29% and €0.25 transaction charge from each donation.
There is an option to tip GoFundMe, which you can include or set to zero on the checkout page

2. Learn & Share

Come learn and share your knowledge at our conference panel on December 13, 2:00-3:30pm in Conference Room B4 M7-8.

What Weekend Trampoline House Does and How Your Funds will Help:

  • The Children’s Club: Rejected asylum seekers’ children are forced to live in the deportation camps with their parents. Weekend Trampoline House supports the families and their children, by creating enrichment activities for children 2 days every week.
  • The house provides transportation reimbursement for asylum seekers who need to get away from the isolated camps in which they are forced to live.
  • Community dinners are an integral part of the welcoming culture of the house. The food is always cooked by teams of refugees and volunteers from Danish society working together.
  • $10 covers one return trip from Center Sjaelsmark to Trampoline House (accommodation camp)
  • $15 covers 1 return trip from Center Avnstrup to Trampoline House (deportation camp)
  • $30 covers 1 hour of walk-in legal counseling by Trampoline House’s professional legal counselor
  • $100 covers one community dinner for 25 asylum seeking volunteers in Trampoline House
  • $240 covers 8 hours of walk-in counseling by Trampoline House’s professional legal counselor
  • $500 covers paid reach for our upcoming so me campaign, aimed at changing Dane’s perception of refugees.
